Children’s Dhamma School
Lone Star Buddhist Meditation Center

Children’s Dhamma School
A warm Sunday-morning class for children aged 4 to 14 — where the Buddha’s teachings are met through stories, simple meditation, and honest conversation about how to live with kindness. Parents are always welcome to stay.
What Children Learn
Children explore meaningful Buddhist teachings through engaging stories, mindfulness, and creative activities:

The life of the Buddha

Simple meditation and mindfulness

Basic Buddhist teachings

Respect for parents and elders

Friendship and kindness

Merit, karma, and the shape of a good heart
A steady ground to grow on.
Children absorb far more than words. A every other week two hours in a quiet, friendly space — sitting still for a few minutes, hearing the Buddha’s stories, talking honestly about kindness — shapes something in them that lasts.
The monks teach in plain language, matched to the age of the child. Older youth are given more to chew on. Younger children are met with gentleness and play.
